LINGUA FRANCA: NYU Short Film Casting

Dramatic short film LINGUA FRANCA produced in association with NYU seeks its 2 leads. Story centers around how language bridges and distances strangers. Dialogue-driven and plenty of opportunities for minutely calibrated emotions - a great showcase for actors. Scheduled to shoot for 2 days in mid-late April.

1) Age 25-30. European male. Native speaker of a Romance language (preferably French, but Spanish and Italian would be fine as well) with fluency in English. Driven and ambitious MBA/finance-type transplanted to New York for work.

2) Age 35-45. East Asian female. In addition to some English, must be perfectly fluent in either Mandarin Chinese, Japanese or Korean. Beautiful and dignified woman moving confidently into the next stage of her life. Should evoke the grace of a former dancer.

Please email over a headshot, resume, and links to reel (if avail) to linguafrancashortfilm@yahoo.com. Look forward to collaborating.
