Casting Call for Short Film

CALL FOR ACTORS & EXTRAS
FOR SHORT FILM

Casting + Rehearsals:
Wednesday, April 21st

Shooting:
Thursday, April 22nd + Friday, April 23rd (starting from 8 p.m.)

Synopsis: Manhattan, a busy coffee shop, late afternoon. A quintessentially New York encounter between Claudia, an improvised Italian-language teacher and Marc, a regular and sly customer of the shop, leading to an unexpected romantic twist. The script won the 3rd prize at the 2008 Manhattan Short Screenplay competition and will be submitted to a variety of local and international film festivals.

Leading roles:

• CLAUDIA: a likable 25ish native-Italian speaker, with a slight Italian accent, but with very good English proficiency. Preferably dark-haired and blue-eyed, but not necessary.
• MARC: 25-30 years old. American. Charismatic and rather charming.
• EXTRAS: we are looking for 5-8 people to fill in the background of our shots, by simply and naturally sitting at the coffee shop’s tables, drinking coffee, chatting with each other, typing on their laptop etc...

Remuneration: food & beverage on set, film credits.
